- It almost feels like we lost a block of time. We just landed, and was made artificially dark by the pulled down shades, then within a couple of landing it was night again... very odd.
- Tel Aviv is very green landscape (Palm trees), modern apartments and buildings, clean and seemingly well organized.
- After gathering our bag in their very impressive airport we were met by our guide Shmulik - he is good humored, intelligent, and filled with facts... this is going to be fun.
- The bus we took from the airport to Netanya (means "Gift of God") was really new and modern. We are certainly not slumming it folks.
- At dinner shortly after arriving to our beautiful hotel I met Steve Wiggins from Riverside CA. It turns out that Steve leads worship at Harvest Riverside CA - where senior pastor Greg Laurie leads the flock. A little side note that made this encounter meaningful; Pastor Greg Laurie was an associate pastor at Calvary Chapel in Costa Mesa, CA when I was 18 years old. He gave the message of the gospel and had an altar call the night I prayed to ask forgiveness for my sins and Jesus into my life. After dinner Steve handed me this CD... which I going to rip to my iTunes account for listening as we travel... how cool it this? God is good in the smallest of way He provides us encouragement.
